Hey folks. In my attempt to track down all the issues why my engine will not fire (and the completed checklist is already quite long), I came across an unattached fuse link wire near the vehicle's starter. It appears that the wire is orange in color - maybe red - and it has a round eyelet at the end. It seems odd that this wire is not attached to something. A search of threads, wiring diagrams, pics and videos has only added to my confusion. So, I'm looking for a little help. Where does this wire attach? I've include a pics as well. Any feedback is appreciated.
In your picture at the very top left , you can see the stud on the back of the starter solenoid that already has two similar wires (fusable links , actually) and the big wire coming from the battery's + terminal , your disconnected link belongs on that stud with the big wire and other two fusable links .
Please remember to disconnect the battery's - terminal before you take the nut off the stud to put the "missing link" back , so you have no fireworks if your wrench touches ground while removing/replacing the nut .
Nice , John beat me to the post by 2 minutes
