Low Beam issues Firebird

Hi,

I have a problem with Pontiac Firebird 1990, so Low beam doesn't work but Hi beam work.
I've changed the dimmer switch and the headlight switch and no changing.
Someone can tell me where the Relay of the headlight is located ? please.

Thanks a lot.

There are no relays for the headlight bulbs. Only wires and wire connectors in-between the headlight low/high switch and the bulbs. Both high and low beam use the same power source so it’s not on that the power side. It’s also possible that both headlight bulbs need to be replaced

You changed it however how do you know it’s being actuated fully?

If you have tilt steering make sure that is operating with no play.

You can adjust the Dimmer by loosening the hardware at the bottom of the column, then slide it into position, tighten it then test with stalk, then readjust as required.

You can then, or before, use a voltmeter to determine if it’s being actuated correctly.

Probe the
tan wire coming out of the dimmer switch.

Now, when you select HI’s or LOW’s with the stalk do you see power on that wire?

Happy Racing !
