I've got a 1987 Camaro LT 2.8L with a 1988 firebird formula 5.0L TPI harness (5.7L swap). From what I can gather those two vehicles used different styles of speedometer sensors. How can I keep the firebird connection while making it work with my Camaro gauges? Stock gear ratio is a 3.42. If it's the same then that's even better but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

 

You don't. Change the electronic sender in the trans tailshaft to one for a cable.
