SORRY MEANT TO SAY ECU IN THE HEADING..Hi, the 87 z28 Camaro was idling and just died. Power to dizzy but no spark coming out. I have replaced the dizzy and still no good. There is a four pin round harness that plugs into the dizzy. Does this come from the ecu? Has the ecu failed?

 

that plug is to control the spark advance.On carb cars you disconnect that to set base timing,Fuel injected needs that connected for fuel injection to work properly.Distributor (if good)will spark as long as you have power and rotation.
