I swapped out the crap 305 from my 87 trans am
and threw in an 84 vette 350.
Put a brand new edelbrock carb and intake manifold.
Im trying to figure out what to do with all the extra wiring.
is it possible to just rip out the ecm and all the extra wiring.

Re: Wiring
The harness passing thru the firewall on the drivers side is needed.
The ECM harness that passes thru the body on the passenger side is NOT needed if you are removing all the factory SMOG equipment. Remove the ECM, pass the ECM harness from inside the pass compartment back behind the passenger fender liner, pull it from behind the fender liner into the engine bay, then unplug everything from the SMOG components in the engine bay and remove harness completely.
* If the car is an automatic; removing the ECM will remove the TCC function of the lock-up tranny. An aftermarket kit should be installed in order to regain TCC lock-up.
* You'll also need to use a non CC distributor as well as the non CC Edelbrock carb you have. ( CC = Computer Controlled)
