Reconnected battery
Reconnected battery
On my 1992 Firebird Formula 350 a had disconnected my battery to replace a speaker, just to be safe (i Know its unnecessary). When I went to reconnect the battery the headlights and all the dash and interior lights started flashing and popping up. Not knowing what was going on, i disconnected my battery again. I thought that maybe it was a fuse that bust when i reconnected it, but all the fuses were intact. So at the moment I'm at a loss for words, I cant think of anything that would make the whole system flare up like that.

You got any kind of aftermarket alarm system in the car ? What your describing sounds very much like the alarm system needing some kind of reset after the power loss (aftermarket alarms are commonly wired into the car's lights to do a "confirmation flash" when arming/disarming the alarm) . If you do have an aftermarket alarm , unplug it's brain module and reconnect the battery , if the lights behave normally you've found the problem .
