Wire harness
Wire harness
Hello I'm swapping a 350 into my camaro and I have a v8 harness from a 92 and I have my interior harness from my 85 which was a v6 will they work together? Or do I need a new interior harness I ask because where they meet on the passenger side the interior harness has a extra plug that the v6 had plugged in

Re: Wire harness
You haven't given enough details about what you're planning for induction on the V8 for anyone to give informed advice. The pinout for the 92 and 85 are different on both the C100 and C207 connectors. Some wires are the same, but it changes depending on the year and engine

Re: Wire harness
I found it easier to convert the entire interior from my 87 to a 92 set-up than to try and deal with making the 92 harness work with the 87 harnesses. ( 87 2.8 was swapped to a 92 3.1 )

The 3rd plug on the 85 Dash harness is called C221; the heavy PINK/Black wires are for the Injectors, Brown is for the Fuel Pump-Fan Fuse / Fan Relay. You'll find just about all the the wiring info you would need to hack/splice the 92 and 85 harnesses together on these to pages: ( I'd recommend getting a 85 and a 92 service manual so you have EVERY schematic you could possibly need. )
