C100 questions for an 87 roller

Hey everybody,

I've got an 87 Firebird I'm trying to wire, but because most of the wiring was removed by the previous owner I'm having a hard time figuring out some parts of the C100 harness.
Specifically, I'm confused about pins F8, G5, G7, and A1. My source for my existing information came from https://berlinetta.info/media/shopma...Firebird87.jpg

Questions:
  • Pin F8
    • Labeled as "Charging System". Is this something for the alternator?
  • Pin G5
    • Labeled Power Distribution for the fuse block
    • Does this get connected to battery?
  • Pin G7
    • The label provides 3 options. Is radiator power correct?
  • Pin A1
    • Labeled Power Distribution for headlight doors
    • Does this provide power to the headlight doors, in addition to pins D1 and D2?
    • Or, should this also be connected to the battery.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: C100 questions for an 87 roller

F5: yes. Goes to the "field" terminal on the alt. The alt has 2 terminals; one is "sense" (that's the one that the regulator adjusts the alt's output according to, to keep the voltage at that specific point in the system at a constant voltage). "Field" is closer to the output terminal, "sense" is the farther away one.

G5: yes. Big Red Wire. Comes from one of the fusible links and feeds various direct-battery consumers in the cabin.

G7: not sure about that one. Probably not "radiator power" in any case. Might possibly be the + side of the fan relay coil, with the - side being the fan switch in the pass side head or the ECM. That other wire to the fan relay coil will be green w/ white stripe.

F4: not sure why you have that marked "won't use". That's the Big Pink Wire that goes to the distributor; high-power switched ignition. Best place to pick up that feed to send to your aftermarket wiring.

D1, D2: probably the "signal" wires to the HL motor system, telling it that the HLs (either low- or high-beam) are on. One wire for low, the other for high.

A1: not sure about that one either. Can't recall how Firebirds are wired in that area although it seems more logical that it would be a fused "output" going to the relays to power the motors. Look for a fuse or circuit breaker inside the cabin.

Big thanks! With everything else hooked up, figuring out what A1 is for won't be hard.

I'll post my updated spreadsheet in case it helps anybody:
