New to the 91 Camaro wiring, never worked on this new
Ok, as stated above I’m new to the 91 wiring. I have worked on older Camaro’s, and older 67-72 trucks, but this one is a new animal for me. I have looked all over for the explanation of what wires do I need to look for coming out of the steering column to under the dash. I am working on a full blown race build, while still retaining the C100 harness. The steering wheel was removed when we bought the car, and the wires to the column for the signals, horn, and ignition were all pulled down to the bottom. I realize the under column harness is a standard GM dash harness but I need to know for wiring purposes since it’s a race build I’m going to use the toggle switch for ignition, and start. Does anyone know the exact wires I will need to hook the fused switch for ignition and fused switch for the start? I’m not so good at this wiring diagram for the 91. I’m used to older model cars and trucks and also newer vehicles with a little clearer diagram of wires and multi-plex wiring diagrams and explanations. I’ve got the Austin wiring diagram for the wires but I’m serious I just can’t figure it out without worrying about screwing it up. The car has no engine or battery, I have to hook a jumper back up just to check the wiring on other parts. The diagram for the ignition and start are hard to follow along the path as it snakes through everything. I don’t want to remove the C100 harness and run my own like I’ve done on previous race builds. This one fortunately had all the wiring and electronics still in it unlike my 86 Camaro that was stripped all the way from the core support to the dash and had to run my own wiring to have lights, ignition, start, tach and more
