Re: wire schematic question

Purple is the age-old GM color code for the 12V going to the TS sw from the flasher. Those color codes stayed the same for decades.

So yes, the purple wire in the column connector is indeed the same one both on the schematic and IRL.

Curious that somebody spliced the yellow wire (LR TS bulb) in that circuit, but the others are OK. Except of course for that Big Red Wire in the background, which looks to be about #12, but has a #16-18 splice on it, which the ONLY way that would fit, is if about half of the strands of the wires are missing where they go into the splice. Which might also explain why the red cover on that splice looks a bit ... melted. That should be redone properly with the right size splice. Preferably an uninsulated one (you can remove the cover from a normal yellow one), then soldered with rosin-core solder after it's crimped, then insulated with heat-shrink and tape.

Re: wire schematic question

i have no idea what most of it is. ive got stock wiring mixed with new fuel pump, vacuum pump, Dakota gauge, Dakota satellite speedometer wiring going every which way. fuse box has random wires stuck in between fuses. its a mess. everything works so it doesnt bother me except front turn signals. signal and side marker bulbs are new and all work with headlights on but when i cut signals on it does nothing, but flasher clicks. i feel like theres a break between flasher and bulbs or maybe a ground. i cleaned the 2 grounds behind headlights but didnt help me. there probably more i havnt found yet. rear signals work fine. im about to just let go but its bugging me.
