Windshield wipers

I'm not sure where this post belongs, but this is where it ended up. I have been doing some work on the '8 RS. I also own an ;88 Chevy truck, which currently has a blown head gasket, so it's been sitting until I have time to work on it. In the mean time I have been driving my '12 Nissan Titan. Love that truck, right up to the day it was stolen and totaled. Having run a little short on vehicles, I was forced to get the Camaro out of storage and use it as my daily driver for a while. One of my issues was the windshield wipers. The would not go. I replaced the lever first. simply because it was the easiest thing to do. That didn't help, so I replaced the switch, which isn't fun, with equal results. I went on the hunt for a new motor, and never did find one. This car has intermittent wipers, and none of the motors I found was even close. I removed the motor anyway, just to see what I could find. After playing with different wiring scenarios on the bench, I discovered I could make it run on high or low speed, with a simple toggle switch, but without the intermittent feature. I put it back in the car, wired it up, and nope, would not run. Although this time I noticed it seemed to want to run, just couldn't. After playing with the linkage a bit, I discovered the passenger side "gearbox" if you will, seemed to have gone over center. While the drivers side was trying to go one way, it was trying to go the opposite. After some cajoling, I got it back in time, and hit the switch. It took off. I decided to attach all the wiring harnesses, and what do you know, works like a champ. So, after a new unnecessary lever and switch, it works. All this because it got out of time, as it were. I have also replaced all the window sweeps, and have much of the interior reinstalled. I don't know why the previous owner removed it, but at least most of it came with the car. I raised the drivers seat 2 1/2". I'm kind-a short ya know. I have a new radio on the way, and I replaced the steering wheel, as most of the horn mechanism was gone. I am on the search for a few interior parts, and a new rear end. This one is a bit "howly". I need a new windshield. I'm not sure if this is something I want to tackle my self, or have it done for $350. I have never replaced a windshield. I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but this car has an TH700 trans in it. Would that be stock?

I have since bought a new truck, but I kind-a like driving this Camaro. My wife says I should grow up. I disagree.
