Working on converting an 85 model car from TPI to Carb
I have the engine wiring harness unplugged.
Can I just completely remove the ECM and all of the wiring associated with it?
Its in an 85 Vette. I know this is more of a 3rd Gen forum but you all get way more traffic and also knowledge than most Vette Forms I am on about this kind of stuff.

In the 85-87 TPI Camaro you could remove JUST the ECM harness and you could leave JUST the ENGINE harness in place. ( Engine harness had basic stuff for Starter, Alt, Distrib, Gauges, etc... ) Beginning in 88 the F-Body got 1 huge harness with all ECM and all ENGINE wiring in 1 huge harness. You'll have to check your Vet to see if the harnesses are separate/independent, or combined together.
