ECM swap?
I want to upgrade from my 85 mass air to a sd7730 for tuning raesons. I am wondering about patching a 7730 into my 85 harness?Possible?I dont want to pay 300$ for a new harness.

for the 2 swaps Mike Davis did. He first swapped from the '85 setup to the '86-89 ECM ('165), then went to the '90-92 ECM ('730).

How much of the wiring is existing that I can patch into the 7730? How much custom wiring do I have to do? Will my original diagnostic port work, Check engine light problems? Any more input is appreciated. Thanks

Get the harness ends, heat shrink, and some spare ecm end connectors at Pep boys, Then match up the wiring, If you wire things up right all should be just at is in a 730 car. Just watch the speedo hook up.
