Mysterious wiring

So I found a bunch of wires at the back of the trunk in my 91 firebird. Does anyone have any idea what these might be? My turn signals also haven’t worked since last week if that is related I would like to know

These were unplugged when I before I pulled off the plastics

Re: Mysterious wiring

*smh*

When will people figure out that there's NO WAY IN HELL for us out here to know what some "human" has done to a car's electrical system? Those things (humans) are TOTALLY unpredictable when it comes to botching electricity. Which is SO BIZARRE, at its core; electricity is SO SIMPLE, and of all the electrical systems we all ever have to deal with daily, A CAR is right down at the VERY BOTTOM of complexity. EEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZY. Yet somehow, they ... just don't get it. [mr_spock] Humans. [/mr_spock] I'll never understand em.

Most of that looks like it had to do with the hatch pull-down motor, the "popper", and the light; any/all of which the car may not have been equipped with originally, or some human decided to obliterate. Looks like maybe there's some abandoned speaker wiring of some sort too. Typical human wiring detritus.

Re: Mysterious wiring

The white one is for the hatch pulldown, the two pin black is for the light and the single black is for the remote hatch release. The terminal for the popper looks horribly corroded, I'd be worried about where the water leak was and what else it got to.
