PLEASE READ AND HELP! (near o2 sensor. unknown connector)

Ok, I am outside right now replacing my O2 sensor. Well, I got it all hooked up and everythiung but I have an extra connector just hanging there and I dont know what it connects to.
The connecter that the o2 sensor plugs into is attached to another series of wires/cords whatever and they are in one of those plastic protector things. Coming out of it, there is a wire that looks sort of like the o2 sensor's wire in that it is kinda small, and it has a connection on the end. I've looked all over and I cant find what it goes to. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
And while I'm at it does anybody have any tips on how toi get a wrench in there to tighteb up that o2 sensor a little more?
Please post fast cause I'm running out of daylight and I have places to go tonight and tomorrow and I need to know where this connection goes!
PLEASE HELP!!!

It's black, but a little faded.
It is about the same diameter as the wire for the o2 sensor.
Quick! Daylight is running out!

The only thing I can think of offhand is it may be is one of 600 common grounds since it's just plain black. Probably not harming anything being unplugged.

I drove it around and found out it is a connection for my water temperature sensor. I got it fixed now!

Usually the temp. sender wire is green. Good to hear you found it though.
