How can i do this

I have looked everywhere and nothing. How can you test an ECM or the prom. Need to know bad. Everyones advice would help.

I don't really think there's a way for someone to positively test one. I've tried to figure it out myself. I think the best way to test would be to swap in another one. Are you getting any codes? Is there a code 12?
Hopefully you have a buddy who has a tbi motor--might let you try his ecm.

I wouldn't know how to test it either but, supposedly if the ECM is bad, it'll give a code 55.

they do not always give a code 55. See if that part of the ECM is bad that means it is not going to tell it is bad because it is already bad or gone out you see what i am saying. So that is a very rare thing that it will shoot a code 55.
