yesterday My car backfired through the carb then quit running. After the car sat for awhile, it started back, but ran real rough, then died after about a minute. I replaced the coil...no good. (HEI)
I put a new cap and rotor..then when I was replacing the spark modulator I noticed that one of the wires that connects to the spark modulator was broke off where it runs into the top of the shaft...I have never worked on a disributor before..5sevenkid Tells me this is probably my pick-up coil. How the heck do I change the thing. I have the distributor out and dont even no where to begin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks 5 7 kid for the speedy reply to my e-mail.
