Dash-Lights-mess?

Hey all

I was trying to replace my lights on the dash today.
But first thing I had to do is get the lights out so I can tell which code it is, so I can go buy a new one.
So I took the plastic cover off... Now the plastic/glass part which I coudlent take off... and Im worried about taking it off.. is it risky or what?
where the heck are the lights located anyways?
what a pain to get to them!!
Someone explain to me plz, how to go to the lights, and is there any other colours u think I can use?

You have to remove the whole cluster in order to twist them out from behind. The illumination bulbs are all 194s, and the turn signals and high-beam bulbs, and some of the indicators lights are 168s. You have to get the type with the twist-on base because they're actually one piece (replace as a unit), but it's pretty easy to get it to work anyway if you don't if you're up for a little work.
