Broken Wires in Instrument Cluster--need wiring help
OK. I know I have some wires that are broken somewhere. My #1 concern at the moment is the coolant gauge. The right side pin shows 12 volts, the top pin shows ground and the right pin.....I'm assuming that will be the the pin that actually controls the needle (yellow wire coming out of the coolant sensor).
I have 2 wires coming out of the coolant sensor. A black and a yellow wire. Neither have continuity to the dash board. ( I spliced a jumper wire in each and ran it over the hood into the driver's compartment.
I have 3 temp gauges. All seem to work when I pull them out and hook the right hand pin to 12 volts, the left hand pin to the yellow wire (usually shows around 5 volts with the ignition on but the car not running and around 12 with the car running) and the top pin to the black wire on the sending unit.
I have tried just running the wires spliced in from the unit back to the instrument cluster, but no luck.
Is there something I've missed?
What should I do to get this working properly?
Here's the other side of the story. The gauge lights aren't working either. Might be a fuse, haven't checked yet. Don't know if that might be related or not!

The link doesn't work. However, I figured out that I am a bigger idiot that I thought I was.
I wasn't playing with the right sending unit!
OUCH!
Could you please see if you can send me that pic again.
