I have a L98 engine out of my '87 Corvette. It's a 350 CID, roller cam motor. The motor was rebuilt a few years ago. It had 65psi oil pressure when removed!! (had an aftermarket oil pump in it, checked a few bearings they dont look bad at all, had aftermarket head gaskets, etc)

The heads have been sold. I took it out, put a brand new Mellings M55HV oil pump in it with welded pickup, and a fbody oil pan. Was going to sell the block for $500 until I noticed two of the piston skirts were cracked. The harmonic balancer looks like it spun a bit. I think the motor was over-revved.

I pulled on them (the skirts) and broke the peices off. I checked the cyl, and it looks fine. I have two brand new replacement pistons which I will include in the deal for $200 total. I think this is a steal, the bare block is worth this alone. You can swap the pistons out, hone the cyls, and be back in business for under $300 total. My friend said "run it as-is", but I'm not a fan of that idea. Although it made no noise or anything, I'd like to see it fixed properly.

If interested let me know. I'd like to see it gone, have too much crap lying around. Plus when I walk into it, it hurts.

local pickup only.
