3:73 motive gears
3:73 motive gears
This is for the 10 bolt 7.5/7.625 carrier, 3 series.
I bought a spacer to put this on a 2 series carrier, but Iam not happy with the way it slops around until its bolted up tight. You must use a dial indictor to tap it in for a true, zero run out.
So I just ordered thicker gears in this ratio to go onto a 2 series carrier.
These gears have never been run, but they do have some marking compound on then for pattern checking.
So you get the new motive gears and the spacer, if you need it.
Make me an offer, I think I paid around $180 for the gears and 20 for the spacer.
Send me a PM and make me an offer.
I want to get rid of them
Thanks
Scott

Oh, Crap I don't think there is a Private message board here ...(Pm'S)
Anyway I got an offer of $100.00 not to bad but will hold out for more.
Don’t know the part number, will have to look on the box.
But.
IT will fit (WITHOUT THE STUPID SPACER .....)
A series 3 10 bolt rear end 7.5 to 7.625 this is made to fit a series 3 carrier, I tried to do it on a series 2 and had to try and use the spacer.
“I WOULD NOT RECOMEND USEING THE SPACER” for a series 2 carrier, go buy the correct gears if that’s what you are doing. Same price if buying a new set.
I had all kinds of problems trying to set this thing up like that.
Thanks
Scott

Maybe,
Let me explain,
We just got the car almost ready to drive, its still on blocks after 6 or so months.
It will be driven this weekend.
So, until we see how the 3:73 are.
On the other hand, if they are made fo a 3 series carrier the answer is no, I must have the thicker ring gear. I will not use the spacer.
Thanks
