I need some advice on selling an engine

Ok, so I had to move due to college and it snows all the time here and the Camaro isn't very effecient. I've been looking towards a 4wd but I'm short on money, so I've decided to sell the Camaro. I know, it's sad, but currently i have the engine out and completely rebuilt but the car itself is kind of shabby. So i was thinking I would just sell the engine and part out the car. My problem is that I'm not really sure how much the engine is worth. Thats where I need the advice. If you could give me your opinion I would be very grateful.

The stats

chevy 305 (from the car)
600 cfm holley carb (I have a 750 double pumper too)
Edelbrock performer eps intake
Flowtech Headers
Energizer Cam
Double roller timing chain
Accel sparkplug wires
new piston rings, push rods, valve springs, water pump, fuel pump, crankshaft bearings, valve covers, distributer

there's more but I can't remember it all. Thanks for the help. I'll post picks in a few.

Just calculate how much you actually have into the engine. From there, figure how much loss is acceptable to you, and how fast you want to sell it. EVERYTHING eventually sells, it's the price that matters though.

ok, but the problem is that I got the car for practically free and then I paid for all the performance parts. I would like to get about the value of the engine plus the parts not just the parts, but I'm not sure how much the engine itself is worth.

LIke I said, there's worth, and what you'll get for it in these times. Christmas, economy, etc, might not fetch the same as when we all have our tax returns back!

Figure out what you spent, from that figure out what you would take. Also consider selling seperate, sell the carbs, the intake, distributor, headers and either the short or long block, with or with out valve train. From what you've said it doesn't sound like any real high performance internals was used, don't expect to bring a lot for the motor. You'd probably get more money for the intake, carbs, valve train and headers than the long block.
