Re: Camaro AC Delete Heater Core Box and Console Controls

You need to remove the dash housing from the firewall inside the car. Disconnect the vacuum line that controls the Heater/AC vacuum door soleniods ( if AC equiped ). Then remove the heater hoses from the heater core in the engine bay. You will also need to remove the AC blower box from the engine bay firewall. Once the AC blower Box is removed you will expose the screw that holds the interior heater core box to the firewall.

Hope that helps !

Re: Camaro AC Delete Heater Core Box and Console Controls

The heater box that was advertized in this thread was sold right after the add was placed. That box is no longer available.

I do have 1 last INTERIOR HEater core box left. It was pulled from a Camaro and it needs minor repairs before it's installed.

Here are the links if you wish to view full sized images:

Here are the pics:

Description :

One cable is broken the area in question is circled in red. The clip is still attached to the vent door and the vent door operates as it should.

One vent door is rusted and should be replaced. It is "solid" (not brittle or breaking apart) other than the rusted area. It's possible the door from a AC heater system could be used - I am not sure. This area is circled in red in 2 different pictures.

The foam insulation where the floor / console vent mounts to the box is not in very good shape and should be replaced. I am sure that the foam from any box will fit just fine.

Price: $50 + shipping firm.

I have not gotten anyone shipping quotes for this box as it is not in "ready to install" condition and I would rather just get quotes for people that are still interested after they see the actual heater box that I have available and agree to the price. The heater box and the non-AC Heater control will NOT Be separated ! If anyone is still interested - just update this thread and I'll get a shipping quote for you.
