new and used. all the same. they last forever as long as no chunks pass through them. I have been building for 7 years and never replace the corvette ones due to wear. Now the others crap out quick and loose there punch but not these. I will put new rings on the servos though. Payment for one so far and let me go get all them in fornt of me before I get more payments than servos. Didnt think I would get this much of a response so quickly, which is great. will post on how many I have left in hand as I have 7 p.m.s to read through still.

one sold and gone and have 4 still sitting here. One after market and 4 gm ones from 2001 to 1992. like I said really dont matter but if you have a preferance let me know.They will all work the same and give great shifts over the cheesy big one. I also have a gil yourger valve for the valve body that keeps it in overdrive at full throttle. Older ones if you are running 110+ and punch it will normally not allow a full throttle run(like a vette) in over drive. Not to hard to install. 15 bucks for it.

I'm just getting started here so sorry if this is a dumb question.
What are the effects of using one of these? Other than the harder shifting.
Like will this lower your gas mileage? Is it harder on your trans?

the dumb question is o not asked. This will make the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts firmer and more positive giving a better hold making it whole shifting process more efficient. So if I was to guess not only would it not hurt fuel mileage but possibly help it a touch. They dont make it pound just firm unless it is stacked up with a shift kit in a beyond r/v mode then will hit pretty hard. It is a good upgrade to make any 700 last longer. so very good for the trans. And for the other question up there that is not hte boost valve. I do have a .500 bosst valve though around here some where and it is teh largest aftermarket one.

Well it looks like this is a no brainer, I would like to check tonight when I get off work at 4:30pm to make sure I don't already have one on the car. I just bought this one a few weeks ago. will it be obvious? Also how do I pay for one, paypal, money order, etc.

well you have to pop off the servo cover on the side of the trans and look at it. Can be a booger sometimes to get off. I will post a pic of what it looks like here soon. You can normally tell by the shift. Is it quick and firm or drag out a little on the one two shift. Also 3 -2 kick down will be quick with one in and lazy with the other one. If you can count to 2 between 1-2 on a normal off a light shift then most likely it doesnt have one.

2 left are after market and right are gm. One top right has a shift kit spring in it with mod plate so left it in. you will have to swap that stuff from your stock one. they come with out all that stuff when new.

I might as well get one its only $25, I would like the one with the shift kit spring and mod plate if you still got it. Also if I got one of the other ones what would the difference be? I guess I am basically saying that I don't know what the shift kit and mod plate do but I think I want them? If they don't make a difference I may be interested in one of the aftermarket ones if they are better, I like to use GM parts but if aftermarket is better I can do that.
Sorry I am just learning about this stuff, I know I could look through the forums to get answers but I don't want to miss out on one of these.

Hey there, I need the servo and a t.v cable for a 700r4 and a filter for the same trannie. Pretty much i have a 700r4 and i just bought a tci trans-scat shift kit and so i want to do a few other things while i have the trannie out. Do you have all of the following? still have one left and I have a set of seals too. Will run me 14 to ship it all and seals are about 5 each. So 55 for it all to you. If in the states would be cheaper.
