I would really like to enlighten you guys as to what this is and what it came out of but I for the life of me cant seam to place where I got it. I just know its got the Auborn symbol on it and its stamped 3.42 on the ring gear. For all I know it came out of one of the numerous rear ends I have had in the past and the ring for it is long gone. I dont even know without counting how many spline it is, as that would tell me a little about what Gen it came out off. I,m willing to work with someone who is inrested as its not doing me any good lying around my place.

can you look into the side of the differential where the axle slides in and count the number of splines? i dont want to take a chance and buy something that i find out when i get it i cannot use it. thanks in advance

 

I am so sorry I didnt realize I put PINION in the title, there is no Pinion and I dont have a clue where it is, Heck I dont even know where this carrier came from.

I have to many parts lying around and I thought this was just a 2.73 stocker then I happend to look at the numbers on the ring and went HMMMM??

I,ll try to count the splines tonight, something tells me this isnt going to easy.

It has US patent 1987 Stamped on the side of the carrier. It must be out of a third Gen then. Most likely a 7.5 ?? Come on guy I dont need this and I,m sure someone could at least put the Carrier to use with YOUR ring and Pinion.

 

its most likely a 7.5" diff carrier.......87 could be a 26 spline axle but there could be a chance that its a 28 spline........not too sure on that one.....someone could chime in about that....... i had a real pushy customer that needed something quick so i wasnt trying to come off as a jerk to you......ive been on this board a long time and i know common courtesy and respect go a long way..........good luck with the sale
