For sale is a complete rebuilt Chevy 350 and rebuilt TH350 transmission. This motor and tranny were in my ’69 Firebird when I bought it and my intention is to replace them with a Pontiac 400 and a 4-speed manual. The car was/is a project car and I have never driven it on the road.I had thought about putting this motor in my '91 Trans Am Convertible but have decided to keep the TPI in its place.


The motor is complete and does run. Unfortunately I do not have proof of the rebuilds for either piece. The previous owner of my Firebird stated that the machine shop stated that the engine has about 320hp, but again I have no proof. I have no knowledge of the internals (cam, crank, pistons, amount bored over, etc). The previous owner also stated that the compression ratio is 9.5:1

Carburetor is an Edelbrock 1406, 4 barrel, 600CFM.

Block casting is 3970010, date code is C28. The block also has a “clock” casting with 12 dots. I haven’t pulled off the alternator to see if I can see any other stamping, but if you are interested I can do so and snap a picture.

Here’s the deal – if a part fits a Chevy motor but not a Pontiac motor then it is included in the sale, including the headers. Not shown in the pictures but is included is power steering pump along with some other stuff.

The motor is currently in the car and will remain there until sold (I have nowhere else to store it). I may need a week or two to get it out depending upon my work schedule, so I ask for your patience in advance.
