lt1 intake for gen 1 sbc

I am thinking about doing these conversions, I have done them in the past which have been successful. However, I am looking for feedback from people to see if they think it would be worth continuing to do. If people are interested in this conversion I would then sell them! I would probably be asking $550 & that would consist of intake manifold, throttle body, & distributor, fuel rail, & stock lt1 injectors. For a bit more money I can upgrade the injectors. I currently have no pictures of the last ones that I have made. But it is one of the cleanest I've ever seen done. Looking forward to the feedback.

Honestly at that price and parts configuration I'd bet you won't sell a one. First of all most people that do the LT1 intake seem to have budget in mind and most do the conversion themselves those that don't still want to get a good price. Most people are going from TPI to LT1, so they already have a distributor and throttle body. I doubt you will get interest in "stock" LT1 injectors, are they going to be gone through and rebuilt? or just some random ones with unknown miles you pick up in a junkyard when you get the manfold? In that case most people would likely reuse there old injector's or purchase new ones. Not providing the remote thermostat housing or the 93 throttle cable hook up, that $550 price is just too high IMO

If you were selling just the manifold/rails which has been setup with the coolant line hook ups and the Distributor hole drilled along with providing a distrubutor shim, you's probably have some interest. Then throw in add on options of the supporting equipment for additional $ and you might have something going. Since you can pick up LT1 intake's w/ rails easily for under $100. My guess is your manifold/rails price would need to no more than $300, more in line with the cost of the HSR, since your are non emission's legal with the LT1 just like the HSR.

Try posting this up on the corvette forums also, since the C-4's can't run the HSR without modification. You'd probably get some good feedback and potentially some business there also.

How are you taking care of the distributor shim issue? Are you adding material or are you using a spacer? If you are using a spacer PM me if you have one available to sell..
