LS1

CHecking to see if there is any intrest in an LS1 motor out of a 98 SS. The car has 60k on it and a bearing on #6 started to let go. We tore into it as soon as it started making the noise so although it would need rebuilt, its not in bad shape. It wouldn't have to be bored, should clean up well. As far as that goes I was told so would the crank. There are places on both but my motor guy said they would come right out. If I were going to keep this one he said I could actually get by with only replacing 3 pistons but you might as well go aftermarket and do everything. This is a great starting point. Aluminum block and heads. complete motor. any takers?
Shipping from 25801 (beckley wv) and I can get it crated up.

Thanks!!

$1200

I have to agree. I have an interest in it... but essentialy its a used block with heads for $850

can you verify the mileage? Last time I bought a "low mileage motor" it ended up being worn out from pan to injectors.

Re: LS1

well whats it worth? I have videos on youtube of the car when it started making the noise we were trying to find out what it was. I think it may show the odometer? I havnt put anymore on it...I have the title if that helps or says it? I dont really know how to verify? run it through carfax maybe? and if some dude driving a firebird wants to call it a dud thats fine, i know what I have. its not something you can drop right in. Its a starting point, you can either go back stock or for more money have something pretty cool. where are you located?
