I'm ready to pull the rear out of my 1984 project car to replace with a 9" Ford

Rear has an aftermarket posi and richmond 3.73 gears

Gears were professionally installed after a pinion nut loosened up on the factory gears. I believe there was a scar where the OEM pinion scraped against the differential housing, damage was only cosmetic.

Car has been sitting since 1997 and don't recall if the gears are quiet or not.

$100 picked up, complete drum-to-drum assembly

You can't part out posi? Would buy the whole unit but shipping would be an extreme hassle.

 

Don't feel like tearing it apart. I've actually considered just scrapping the whole thing, but figured might help someone out by selling it cheap

yup...still haven't pulled it out of the car yet...but once I do I'm not going to hold on it too long since it takes up garage space.

 

Last call...I'm going to strip it down to recycle the metal later this week.

 

I want it but live in Missouri. Hate to see it go.
