Turns more to the Driver side than it does to the passenger side

After doing my Ls swap I'm installing my steering components. Put it in and now when turning the wheel it turns way to much to the driver side then it do to the passenger side. How do I align steering wheels, steering box, tie rods.

Does the pitman arm and the steering wheel have to be straight and then adjust the tie rods to make the wheels straight?

Yes that's the general idea.

You'll want to get an alignment done after .. you can make the car drive strait enough to get it there safely.

Re: Turns more to the Driver side than it does to the passenger side

Turn the steering wheel completely to one side. Mark tge top of the wheel with some masking tape. Turn to the full lock on the otger side counting the nunver if turns. Turn back to half that amount abd put the column lock on. Then check tie rod lengths. Adjust as necessary (or restab the column into the box if needed)

Get the wheels as straight as you can using a long beam or ruler and then go to the nearest alignment shop
