Bought the ECM from someone on here and used it for 2ish years with the ostrich without issue. I do have the metal cover but I don't have the screws for it.
I've used that exact Ostrich on 4 different cars over the years (porche, volvo, and my camaro). I used it to confirm tunes before buring to chip and running in the car for extended periods in place of a chip and it has always worked flawlessly. My car is going MS and I have nothing else that can use this any more.
I used the ALDL adapter once and it worked and I never touched it again.
The chip burner is priced higher because I don't really want to get rid of it
