Reason: Add info
When I looked into having a set rebuilt, I think it was a place on the left coast that did them. I'm having a senior moment and can't remember who it was
Looks like RoadRace found his info but, for anyone who's curious about getting these rebuilt:
Delta Vee Motorsports in Michigan states they can rebuild/revalve them. Phone number is on the website to see if they still offer the service.
PSi (Performance Shock Inc) at Sonoma Raceway in California is an authorized rebuilder. They have all the details on what you need to do to get them rebuilt on their site.
But, your best bet is Thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America in Poway (San Diego), California. They are Bilstein.
You can ship directly to them. They should have instructions on how to ship them in for service on their site. Shipping to them is likely the most affordable way to get a rebuild.
I'm planning to send some from a different car off to them, later this year.
From what I remember, Bilstein were never built adjustable Thirdgen struts unfortunately. In regards: The shafts look heat scored or does that wipe off? I was not able to clean off so I am guessing they are heat scored.
I can send you more pictures via text if you like 9094564339
As The Eager Teen mentioned, Bilstein in San Diego can rebuilt them. More accurately, Poway, CA. Last I called them all that was needed is to ship to them.
Pricing varied from $90-$120. Per their tech, there are two styles created for the Thirdgens.
