I was gonna pay him $65 this morning but he sent me a pm saying he is sticking to his original price.

I’m sure they work, I pulled years ago just stumbled across when cleaning up my shop. If defective I’ll refund minus shipping and fees so could be a core at that point but I’m sure there ok.
