Finally moving forward with an LS swap on my 1992 Trans Am, so instead of rebuilding my LT1-style T56, I’m taking the recommendation from the team at Tick Performance and purchasing a new transmission. Because of that, I’m putting my complete, well-maintained T56 swap setup up for sale.
I originally completed the T56 swap about 10 years ago using parts from a low-mileage 1995 Z28 Camaro that had been totaled. I bought the entire car and pulled everything needed for the conversion myself. Since then, I’ve put an estimated 6,000 miles on the transmission. The car has only has a stock 305 in it, so the T56 has lived a very easy life.
Included in the sale:
LT1-spec T56 transmission
LT1 bellhousing
MGW shifter
BMR transmission crossmember
GM clutch hydraulics
Flywheel and complete clutch assembly
Starter
If you're installing this behind a TPI or LT1 engine, your stock driveshaft will work without modification.
Feel free to message me with any questions. The only additional part you’ll need is a clutch pedal assembly—either a third-gen unit or an early (’93–’97) fourth-gen F-body pedal set will work.
Dropping the price because I didn't know the state the clutch and flywheel were in prior to pulling them out.
Price: SOLD Shipping: Willing to ship at buyer’s expense.
