If your looking for a big block chevy 396 crankshaft I suggest you broaden your search to include the common 366 big block truck engine crank found at most boneyards. It is the same as the 396 and is usually FORGED steel as opposed to a cast steel 396 crank(and cheaper because of availability) . The 427 tall deck truck crank is also Forged and is also a direct swap. FYI
