I got a fresh block I would send you for $250 plus shipping... I'm in Hattiesburg, MS 39401. All the machine work is done. I put 500 miles on it. You can still see the hone marks in it.

Re: WTB: 350 or 383

It is a 2-bolt block, 350 bored 30 over makes it 355. 1994 roller block. don't have pics. I don't have a camera to take any. I will see if i can get some but can't promise. The 2-bolt block is good up to 600 hp with the stock caps. You can put splayed 4-bolt caps on it and it will be stronger than any 4-bolt block you find. I will throw the pistons and rods in for another $50 so $300. One piston will have to be replaced and two rods need to be replaced.
Machine work done:
bored and honed 0.030"
new freeze plugs
new oil galley plugs
new cam bearings
pistons pressed on rods
all caps matched by machinist(main and rods)
cleaned in a vat after machine work was done
checked for cracks before machining

This block is ready to be assembled.

How much of a pain will it be to swap it?

Re: WTB: 350 or 383

what do you mean swap it. You have a 305 in now? if so then you can use almost everything on your 305 on here. Only thing your heads would have a smaller chamber so it would raise the compression a little. It would be an easy swap. If you have all the gaskets and such you can do it all in a day. I've been known to.

Re: WTB: 350 or 383

I have a L98 short block that has 88k on it, virutally no wear, but has a couple of burned pistons. 250 bucks, in NY zip 12566, pick up only though. It has cam/lifters/spider hold down as well, just the heads are taken off.

Re: WTB: 350 or 383

# on back of block 10243880

I'm in Latrobe,PA.
I have a 350 4 bolt main engine with less than 100 miles on it.
Pulled out of 88 Formula....not original of course
Roller block.
.030 over flat top hyperuetectic pistons hanging off of powdered rods.
Has a Crane cam in it,not real big, lost specs.
62cc heads
It is not the Vortec engine as it has the provisions for the mechanical fuel pump.
Everything in the engine is BRAND NEW.
Not a bit of smoke.
Windage tray.

I know you said $500 or so,but heres something to think about.

$900 and i'll deliver it to you.
It's already out.
I guarantee it.

All the hard work and money has been put into this engine, all you do is drop it in.

Re: WTB: 350 or 383

i have a complete 383 ready for a distibutor and oil pan, ready to run. let me know if you are interested. i would be willing to sell the short block for 1k. it has an eagle cast crank, 6" eagle h-beams, dished kb pistons(all internally balanced), studded 2bolt 010 high nickle block. for another 500 i'll leave the alluminum timing cover, new double roller timin kit, new .540/252 dur @50 roller cam and speed pro retrofit roller lifters. cam lifters and timing set are all new never ran and the shortblock has less than 200 miles on it.
