WTB: Diffy Gears 3.42s
I know this is a longshot on here. Please read carefully.
I am in search of a set of differental gears for a 8.5" GM rear end. NOT a 7.5/7.625. But a 8.5! Im seeking a set of 3.42:1 ratio. Preferably GM made gears in great shape and low miles. Not looking to spend a fortune. Trying to keep it under $100 Shipped. I would do some aftermarket brands, but not just any. No need to have the ABS ring. They are for a 3-series carrier.
3.42s for a 8.5 diff.
PM me if you have a bice set and pics.
THX, Michel

Re: WTB: Diffy Gears 3.42s
I have a set of 3:42 gears out of my 92 Z28,10 bolt, great shape .They don't make any noise, the wear pattern looks very good. I installed 3:72 in my car it is a 5 speed. My zip is 60119, about 45 miles west of Chicago. Any questions call Jim 630-365-0329 $50.00 you pay shipping

Re: WTB: Diffy Gears 3.42s
THX Jim but the Camaro diff is a 7.625 model. Im looking for the 8.5 model gearset. Its for my 2003 S10. It has the 4.3 / 5speed combo which is one of the very few S-series trucks that had the bigger 8.5 differental. Most have the 7.625 rear. So, no one on the S10 forums usually have any for this particular diff. And unfortunately when I ordered the truck new, ther was NO options for gears. Autos (with 4.3 reg or ext cabs 2wd) had the 7.625 with 3.42s and manuals had 8.5 with 3.08s.
The vehicles that had the 8.5s std were Impalas and C/K trucks. I was hoping to find someone who had one of those in their collections =)
