just go to a local yard and get a set of vortec heads and have steam holes drilled then you will be way farther ahead then using 400 heads.

Ok thank you, i will check on that. BUt someone told me that i should get 327 heads, they would produce 20-40 mor HP. Is this true? and if so. would i need to get steam ports drilled there too? Im a newbie at this engine rebuild thing. THANK YOU!!

if by 327 heads you are meaning double hump heads yeah they are ok but normally only with mods I would still go with the vortec heads. and yes any heads you use you will need steam holes in them.
