Looking for LT1 swap powersteering lines.
I have a 1992 camaro I did a LT1 swap on it and the engine came with a broken powersteering line. Does anyone make them?

Aww darn. Would it just be safe to run rubber hose from the pulley to the powersteering box/ gear box whatever you techies want to call it.

It's the one with the plug on it im not sure. It goes from the pulley to the steering box. The one on the resevoir is good.
Re: Looking for LT1 swap powersteering lines.
You need to find out if its the high pressure side or not, if not then regular hose is fine but if its the high side you'll want to get some enforced hose.
On mine I just deleted the whole powersteering / AC setup.

Yeah I wouldn't mind deleting won't have to go though all the trouble with it. My buddy said to just find a fitting for the steering box and cut off the pinched part of the metal and run hose but I'm afraid the rubber hose will pinch when I'm turning the wheel. So any suggestions? Just a little bit of rubber hose won't hurt. Well reinforced hose that is.

Nice, I like nissans. I own a 1987 300zx turbod it has the vg30et. It's pretty dang fast, well that is when it was running. Im trying to diagnose it while I'm finishing up my camaro. I just need to fix the powersteering line and fine tune my carb. I carbed my lt1 because it didn't come with the Ecu.

Well it wasn't really that hard. I bought everything from summitracing.com you'll need the carb intake which is from gm. And you'll need a vacuum advanced distributor. Instead of the optispark distributor in the front. I'd recommend buying a block off plate after taking te optispark off. Well since you already have it Fuel injected I'd keep it that way better on gas. But it's your choice.

If it is the high pressure side I can make you up a hose rated for 4700 psi. You will need to buy one fitting for your steering box and one for your pump. If you want I can pit a kit together for you with fittings and hose. Just figure out how you want to route the hose from the box to pump and give me the length and I can make it up for you.

I used a power steering line from a 95 (I think) Caprice with an LT1. All you have to do is bend the line that attaches to the pump. I bought it new from autozone, it was reasonably priced too.

I did the same and still have it if needed. The line was on the car, but the engine was never started so no fluid went throught it. It is new, but I did bent it so it would fit in the 3rd gen.

Purechoice can make them for you, and so can Street and Performance.
I am sure others can make them, too.

caprice,. roadmaster, one of the caddies, the firebirds and camaros, and the vettes, all had LT1
we replacing broken 70k miles alum head LT1 in a 95 bird right now in the shop, sticking in a 94 roadmaster iron head LT1
something happend in the bottom end, wont hardly move, and oil is a little brown muddy sorta weird,
parting it out!
anyone needs any top end LT1 alum parts lemme know
or p/s pump, or front brackets stuff, or intake or fuel parts, or ignition parts etc, sensors,

its the DIS non distributor type ignition one, coil packs and external ICM on front of engine.,
