LS1 brake swap
So I wanna do the front LS1 brake swap on my iroc and have started hunting down leads on parts but im still needing modded spindles hubs and the adapter bracket. Making my own stuff isnt really an option seeing how im stationed in Italy and my car is back home in the states. I know you can buy everything in a kit but im trying to see if im able to piece something together cheaper then buying it outright. Any help would be much appreciated. private messages and emails work best

Re: LS1 brake swap
its easy and not really expensive in comparison to some of the kits that you can buy. I got calipers with brackets and duralast ceramic gold pads off Ebay $73.00 to my door.rotors out of a yard here for $20 off a park ave with 4800 miles had a buddy who works at a shop buzz off .0002 and the are bfn almost. a set of 3rd gen rotors off craigslist $15 a shop cut them down for $50. spindles off the board here for $25 and modded em my self. and using the vast amount of info on the subject will make my own bracket the scrap at the metal shop is cheap 2-8x4x3/8 to 1/2 for less than $10. so if you look around you can do it for alot less than a set of Bear or Wilwoods. best of luck

im aware that modifying your own stuff is easy but seeing how i have zero access to tools or parts here in italy. let alone my camaro doesnt leave me alot of freetime to make up my own stuff. But yes i realize that it would cost me roughly an afternoon to make all of this stuff up if i were in the states

I know all about no time 50-60 hrs at the job,the wife 3 kids and one more coming soon, so time is no friend of mine or the cash. Ive been working on my maro for over 10 years and still am not finished with my vision.but check out-http://www.flynbye.com........'82-92 F body LS1 conversion spindle assembly
This assembly includes modified spindles, zinc coated brackets and hubs, longer 1/2" -20 studs installed, Timken bearings and seals, spindle lock nuts/washers, and new dust caps. NO core charges! Ships assembled and ready to install.....$500.00 but he takes time from what Ive read but quality results.
