I have a 84 z28 i just bought great car but was grinding when shift and hard to get into 2nd and reverse. I pulled the shifter to look and see if was the shifter out of adjustment or the plastic bushing was gone or broke but everything was good and see allot of metal shavings sitting up their in the fluid. So end of story i need a new trans and i can't afford the t56 or tko swap i just need a stock t5 that is good.

Thanks Tony I'm sure you will be fine with that T5 like I said it was the best shifting T5 I have ever driven but I only had 150 hp in front of it hope it holds up for ya.

 

yeah thanks i just got it in the other day and is great so for but think my motor has a bit more than 150 hp
