Did you see Saar's über easy thread ? If you have a old laptop with a db9 you can make one for a few bucks to hook to win aldl.

No, but I will look for it. I could just make a long cable to my old desktop in the garage to help me fig out what is up with this car.

Now that I think about it I'm not sure Saar's article will cover the slow baud of the 165 ecm. The schematic for the win aldl is on jobys site and I have been successful powering the transistor with a laptop.
