I'm planning to pull the factory K-member out of my 1985 in the next couple weeks. I don't know of any differences between years on that part. Where are you located?

I am in Jamestown, NC just outside of Greensboro. I think the shipping will kill me from Dallas. How much are you asking. I found one in Maryland for $50 but I have to wait for the snow to clear...Still trying to find one locally to avoid shipping. I am also going to check out what it would cost to have a welder come to my garage. If thats reasonalble then I don't even have to pull my old one.
Thanks for getting back to me I would be curious what the K-member actually weighs to estimate shipping?

I know everyone here raves about them...and I have had several positive conversations with them myself. I did ask them about a factory unmodified K-member and they told me they wanted $250? That just seems way too steep for a factory part. Maybe I am wrong....but thanks for the suggestion

Yeah that's a lot.

Thirdgenranch?

Pull a part?

I'd try locally, shipping will kill ya, even if it's not that heavy, it's big.

Thanks for the reply....Thirdgenranch, wow I cannot tell you how many times I have tried calling them both now and back in the day in the late80's and 90's (during my first three motors) I could never get anyone to answer the phone but I will try again, thanks.
