87 Trans Am TPI Positive battery cable
Looking for a OEM good condition positive battery cable. 87 Trans Am with TPI. Not sure if other years will work but it has 3 wires coming from it. One for the starter, one for the alternator, and one that goes into a fusible link and then splits into 2 wires.

I'm also looking for the same cable as well. Any leads (no pun intended) greatly appreciated.
Side note: how does one deal with the fusible link... is it a case of splicing into the existing wire at the fusible link?

Not sure where I read it but there was something unique about 1987...
The switch to serpentine in 1988 resulted in the alternator switching sides, and I think the switch to dual fans in 1987 made it differ from the 1986 setup.

Re: 87 Trans Am TPI Positive battery cable
I ended up doing the "big 3" wire upgrade and noticed a huge improvement. I forgot I have a 87 but dropped in a 91 L98 with the serpentine setup so my alternator and compressor locations switched.
For the fusible link, I cut mine out since it looked questionable and ran a inline fuse holder, no problems.
I upgraded the battery to alternator cable from the small size it was to a 4ga and the battery to chassis to 4ga. For the battery to starter I used a 4ga (vs. the stock 2ga) since Autozone only had it in the correct length.
