Used but good L98 Long Block

I am interested in swapping out my LB9 with an L98 and looking for a cheap but good long block. Should have good compression and have had good oil pressure when last run. I can do the valve seals and springs but I don't want to lift the heads or get into the bearings and whatnot. I can come pick it up in most of Southern California.

Yea, screw Coast Motor Supply.

What a shady operation. My engine came back with the wrong heads, and they were mis-matched to boot. Oh yea, they dinged my hood, and did nothing to correct it. They're lucky I didn't take them to small claims. The only reason I didn't is because it was going strait to a paint and body guy anyways.

Coast Motor Supply, when you want to guess at what components they put in your motor.

Re: Used but good L98 Long Block

I know I worked there when they first opened up....its cheap crap but he said cheap. Sorry you had this experience.
Unless something is broken it is ALL reused.
Some of these bigger crate engine places use white box crap, fancy names and draw people in with a cheap price and a big warranty.
Cant tell em nothing. I know what lack of money is for sure but learned my lesson at PAW years ago! lol

Theres a "big name" place in Santa Clarita that charges a fortune for work...like a valve job. Guess where they send it?
Customer gets lousy half azzed work and charged top buck.

I got anice L82 here but its been on a stand a long time he may have to dig into it. Supposed to be a std bore 4 bolt steel crank
Id want 5 bills for it though those are getting tough to find. Has a polished EPS on it
