Looking for a later model 10 bolt rear

I have a ‘97 10 bolt w/posi and 3.42 gears. Looking for a 3rd gen 10 bolt to put the guts into. I think the early ones were different splines, as I read 89-up would be the same. Of course I want it to be a easy drive from me. I’m in Oakdale

thanks

88 and up should be 28 spline same as the 97 but before you do this pull carrier apart because these were Auburn Cone posi and the cones are probably worn out or could be split (common problems) and why I don't mess with auburns. The 99-2002 had Torsen or worm gear posis i have tis unit in my 87 with 28 spline axles - much better IMO and just my .02c
hope this helps

Appreciate the advice. Right now I’m looking for the least expensive route to get out of the 2.77’s this winter when I put the T56 in for her. I could just put bearings in the 4th gen rear and bolt it in, but I don’t care for the tires sticking out.

Thanks!

I have what you really need...
Housing, axles, zexel torsen, and a new set of 3.73's
You will need 3.73's with a T56
$300 for all picked up (I know that's a ride) Anaheim.
