After trying an aftermarket bracket that didn't fit my engine I thought I'd do a post for an original V-belt alternator bracket set for my TBI engine, especially the large bracket that bolts to the front of the intake manifold. I believe these were also used on the later carbed cars, and possibly trucks. The alternator bracket in my '78 F-body with a 350 carbed Chevy engine in it looks like it would fit (based on measurements I took), so I'm thinking something must be off with the cheesy replacement brackets.
