V6 700r4

I’m after a 700r4 from a v6 car. Condition isn’t a huge deal, as long as it’s rebuildable. No hurry, just posting hoping I can score one kinda local.

I’m located in Wheeling WV 26003

Re: V6 700r4

Howdy; don't have one available at the moment, but I will if I can get my hands on a V6 T5. I have a 700R4 in my 3.1 bird right now, it was rebuilt back in 2018 or 2019 (had a bad output shaft seal and a funny sounding 2nd gear). Works flawlessly now, but the problem is that it is currently in my Firebird, which I daily drive. I'm looking to manual swap it, but haven't had much luck with the local markets... whole lotta Foxbody T5s, but that doesn't help me much. In any case, if I can find a T5 to swap in, the 700R4 will be up for grabs. I'm in the Northern Neck VA area, near Fredericksburg. I'll subscribe to this thread and keep an eye on it, and I'll update you if I'm able to get a T5 in the thing and free up the 700R4. It's in great shape, so I would love to be able to get it to a new home when the time comes

Re: V6 700r4

Heya, I see you haven't been online for a few months, but the manual swap is finally happening for me and my 700R4 is out! Got it all unbolted, didn't cut or break anything, used a proper transmission jack with a strap and didn't drop it. Lost some fluid, but it looked pretty good when it came out lol. Didn't think about the open dipstick hole when I was tilting it to get it out from under the car, probably a couple quarts down. Pan didn't come off for the pull so it could probably use a new filter, maybe about 50k miles on the rebuild circa 2018 (odometer is broken so I can't swear to that; I should still have the receipts for the rebuild in my files, it was done by a shop in Fredericksburg). My new transmission should hopefully be in by the end of the weekend, and then I'll know for sure I can part ways with the ol' 700R4. It's a good little transmission, every gear feels perfect, but I wanted a manual. Does not have a shift kit or servo, entirely factory. Hoping to find it a good home, feel free to send me a message or email if you're still on the hunt!

With the 700R4, I also have:
-Torque converter w/ all 3 bolts (unknown specs, more than likely stock or stock replacement)
-Inspection cover with all the bolts
-Newer flex plate (from 2018)
-TV cable from a 3.1
-Shift handle cable for the stock shifter + the stock shifter assembly
-Stock cooler lines (the return line has a bit of hose spliced into it where I repaired a leak; flared the hardline where it was still good, got a barb fitting into a compression fitting on the other end that connects to the factory run up to the lower connection on the rad. Ran it like that for about 5 years with no leaks)
-Newer poly trans mount (circa 2022, Energy Suspension)
-factory crossmember
-Two dipsticks (factory thirdgen one, and a 4thgen one with a locking cap that I cut down to the same length as the thirdgen one)
-Driveshaft slip joint from a 1LE aluminum shaft; u-joint is good operationally, was new in 2022 or so, but the grease fitting on it broke off when I was removing it from the shaft unfortunately

I see you have an S10, so you might not be able to use some of those parts, but it's the entire kit and kaboodle.... also just checked maps, I see that you're on the far side of WV, about 5 and a half hours from me. I understand that isn't exactly local, but if you're willing to make the trip out to the Fredericksburg/ Northern Neck/ Rappahannock area for a transmission you won't have to rebuild, just let me know! I can get pictures after work today, and take a video showing the play in the input shaft (there shouldn't be any, but I'll confirm that after work)
