anybody have expierence with Accel injectors

I have a quickie for ya, when you install these injectors (mine are 32 #) do you have to remove the little blue cover on the bottom of the injector, or is that the way it's supposed to come, i compared my stockers vs my new accel's and the hole looks much much smaller, so does that blue cap come off or does it stay ? OH anybody know the correct gap for plugs on AFR 190's ????

Thanks 91Z

The blue cap on the pintle end is part of the injector and stays on.

Can't help on the plug gap for AFR heads, but I'm running 0.045" gap w/ my Vette aluminum heads.

Plug gap isnt directly related to the heads, its ignition related. If you have a stock ignition setup, run the stock gap. The AFR's might allow a little more gap since they have better swirl and hence dont need as much lead time nor narrow gap from an non-uniform mixture to fire the mixture, but its not going to be much. Compression also has an effect, if you go from the stock 9.5:1 to 13:1, I can guarantee you that the stock plug gap is going to have problems if the ignition system is the same. Whenever you go way off the norm on an engine, plug gap becomes more a trial basis than set in stone.
