can a suburban's 350 fit into a camaro?
My boss recently told me that he has a suburban's 350 core (everything from oil pan to valve covers), and he's willing to sell it to me for $350. He says that it has a little less than 100k miles on it, and ran but was making some rod noise when it was pulled. I am planning on having it rebuilt anyway, so the rod noise isn't a concern for me.
However, what I am concerned about it getting the thing to fit into my camaro without too many problems. I want to attach all the accessories (A/C too) to make it the same as a 1990-92 L98 TPI, but I don't know for sure if that is possible. Does anyone out there happen to have any ideas? I don't know the year of the suburban yet, but I'll post it as soon as I find out.

It should be fine ... I am thinking about doing the same swap, mine coming from an 86 Suburban. We had ours out and rebuilt a couple years (18,000 miles) ago. Also had it bored .030 over while it was being rebuilt. Let me know how you make out.

It will "fit", but there could be things that don't bolt on if it is '86-earlier.
'85-earlier, your flexplate won't fit (use '82-'85 3rd gen type). '86-earlier, your intake will need mount bolt hole modification to fit. '78-earlier, the dipstick will be on the driver's side, which is a challenge to clear the exhaust manifold (but no problem with headers).
